Reinstein Prize for Jazz

REINSTEIN PRIZE FOR JAZZ 2024 Applications are invited from members of the University of Cambridge who are either undergraduates (including affiliated students) or graduate students at the time of issue of this notice, for the Reinstein Prize for Jazz Performance. The competition is open to students of all Colleges, including previous participants (and winners) of the Prize. One or more Reinstein Prizes up to the value of £500 each will be awarded to outstanding jazz musicians on the basis of an audition to take place at St John’s College in the morning of Sunday 10 March 2024. Each performer will be given an audition slot of 10 minutes. The winner(s) may also be invited to participate in a jazz concert to be held at St John’s College. Candidates are required to submit by noon on Thursday 7 March an email application to sank2@cam.ac.uk providing the following information:

• Full name

• email address

• College affiliation

• Year of study, Tripos or Faculty

• Type of instrument (which may include voice)

• The names of accompanists, if any, and instruments involved (accompanists must be provided by the applicant)
