Illuminated initial and borders from f.1r of MS A.4(IV), Giovanni d’Andrea’s Glossa ordinaria in Librum Sextum (English, c. 1335-50). The initial depicts a doctor holding up a book. The borders incorporate shields with the arms of Mortimer(?) and Brewes.
