MANSERGH PRIZES

Two prizes (value £150) will be awarded for the best short dissertation or essay, not more than 10,000 words in length, on a subject in History.  There is no restriction as to the country or period of study to which the dissertation or essay shall relate.

The competition is open to members of the College who are, at the time of issue of this notice, undergraduates in their fourth or seventh term of residence, affiliated students in their fourth term of residence or graduate students.

Where there are suitable candidates, one prize will be awarded to an undergraduate or affiliated student, and one to a graduate student.  Otherwise, both prizes may be awarded in any category

Writings must be submitted to Dr Szreter, Director of Studies in History, (Part II) by Friday 24 April 2009.
