Kalinga Prize

In 1967 Hoyle received the UNESCO Kalinga Prize for the Popularization of Science. He and Barbara travelled together to New Delhi, India, for the award ceremony. In his acceptance speech Hoyle talked of his impressions of India, about scientific and technological development, and about the importance of astronomy as a scientific discipline.
