335x205mm. 93pp. Presented by the author in 1961 ‘to place me’, when he hoped to be restored to the books of the College in order to qualify for the degrees of LLM and LLD (see accompanying correspondence from that year involving Hayward, J. S. Boys Smith, Master of St John’s, and F. P. White, Librarian of the College). The photographs include at p. 78 one of Hayward’s father, Robert Baldwin Hayward (1829-1903), Fellow of St John’s College.
