Scrapbook mostly of newspaper cuttings on the death of Dr Charles Taylor (1840–1908; Master of St John's, 1881–1908). Includes the order of procession at his funeral and a St John's College notice regarding arrangements; begins with death notices, descriptions of the funeral, and obituaries. At the end are notices concerning the donation by Mrs Taylor of his collection of Hebrew books to the University Library. Newspapers from across the UK, including Bristol, Aberdeen, Birmingham and Newcastle, are represented, as well as those local to Cambridge and international. Also includes cuttings from the international journal Apocrypha, the Jewish Chronicle, and the Proceedings of the London Mathematical Society.
