Benjamin Morgan Cowie, A descriptive catalogue of the manuscripts and scarce books in the library of St John's College, Cambridge (Cambridge, 1842-3). Issued by the Cambridge Antiquarian Society. For Cowie see ODNB. Interleaved and annotated with notes, corrections and additions. The annotations are in various hands including those of John Spicer Wood (librarian c.1861-82), Frank Cherry (sub-librarian 1876-88), Ernest William Lockhart (sub-librarian 1888-1911), Charles Christopher Scott (library 1903-56), and Norman Buck (library 1929-82). A printed 'Catalogue of early printed classics in the library of St John's College, Cambridge' (1887) is bound at the beginning of the volume.
