Manuscript extra information

152x100 mm. 11 fos (modern foliation) preceding the printed work with which it is bound. Bound since the early eighteenth century with a copy of William Laud, A summarie of devotions (Oxford, 1667) (Wing, 2nd edn, L600). No record of accession. Small College bookplate (eighteenth century) on flyleaf. The signature ‘J. Elwes’ appears above the imprimatur to the printed work.

At first sight there appears to be more than one hand, but the whole may be by the one seventeenth- or perhaps very early eighteenth-century scribe. Paper; a single, often crudely-drawn LH margin on each side from fo. 2. Blind-tooled contemporary leather binding. The combined work formerly classified as V.6.22 and V.7.29.
