ClickCambridge
Please note that multiple Colleges are involved in this programme and so you will see information about ClickCambridge on more than one College website. The information remains the same across the Colleges and refers to the same programme.
Overview
We are excited to announce the launch of ClickCambridge - a new online programme for 2020/21, which aims to equip students with the information and skills needed to apply to selective universities. A group of Cambridge Colleges are working together to provide two different streams, one designed for Year 10 (or equivalent) students and one for Year 12 (or equivalent) students.
-
The Year 10 programme is for UK-domiciled Black/mixed Black students.
-
The Year 12 programme is now closed.
Each programme contains a range of events, which will address various aspects of university applications and the student experience. There will be sessions for parents as well as potential applicants, and plenty of chances to ask questions!
Each month, there will be a webinar on a different topic, which will be run several times so that as many people as possible can attend. These sessions will take place on weekdays after school - dates will be made available once your place on the programme is confirmed. Once you are registered on the programme, you will be updated about upcoming events by email.

Selection
We would like to support as many students as possible through the two programmes. However, if they are oversubscribed, we will prioritise students who match one or more of the following criteria:
- Have lived, or are currently living, in local authority care
- Are attending a UK state school
- Are eligible, or have been eligible within the past six years, for free school meals
- Are a refugee
- Have caring responsibilities for a family member
- Live in neighbourhoods with low overall progression rates to higher education
- Have no parental history of higher education
- Have a disability
How do I register for a programme?
Students interested in joining the Year 10 stream can sign up at https://cambridge.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_dmqMY24MH6zUj9b
After being successfully accepted, students will need to return a signed parent/guardian/carer permission form in order to participate in some interactive events within the programme. They will also need to agree to a Code of Conduct which applies to all sessions they will participate in.
How will the sessions work?
Zoom webinars
When you register to attend a webinar-style session, you will then be sent a Zoom link which will allow you to join the event. Your camera/microphone will not be enabled, and you will only be able to communicate with the hosts/panelists running the session by typing out questions or comments. The majority of the ClickCambridge events will be in this format.
Zoom meetings
Some of the more interactive events in this programme will require your camera/microphone to be switched on. These will take place using the Zoom meeting function - upon registering, you will be sent a Zoom link to attend one of these sessions. As part of the registration process, you will need to obtain the written permission of a parent/guardian to attend an event of this kind. A DBS checked member of staff will be present in each event where participant’s cameras and microphones are enabled.
Do I have to attend all sessions?
We would like students to attend as many of the webinars as possible throughout the year. Each session will be offered at numerous times and dates in order to enable more students to attend. However, we understand it may not be possible for students to attend all webinars and we’re happy to pass on key resources to participants who were unable to attend a particular webinar.
