St John's appoints new Director of Music

Andrew Nethsingha (BA St John's 1990), MA FRCO, ARCM, has been appointed Director of Music at St John's College, Cambridge and will take up his position on 1 September 2007. He succeeds Dr David Hill who will take over from Stephen Cleobury as Chief Conductor of the BBC Singers at the end of the current season. Andrew has held Organ Scholarships under Christopher Robinson at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle and George Guest while reading music at St John's College. Currently, Andrew is Director of Music at Gloucester Cathedral, Artistic Director of the Gloucester Three Choirs Festival and Musical Director of Gloucester Choral Society.
