The Solitary Cello

Internationally celebrated Johnian cellist Graham Walker returned to St John's on 11 May 2011 to give a recital of unaccompanied cello music in the beautiful setting of St John's College Chapel. The programme included unaccompanied cello music from the earliest times to the present day, and featured a selection of Gabrielli, Bach, Britten, Farrington and Swayne, ending with Kodaly's epic Solo Cello Sonata Op. 8.
