Senior academics at St John’s receive Cambridge University promotions

Several senior academics at St John’s have been promoted to personal Professorships or Readerships at the University of Cambridge. These promotions will take effect from October 2019.

The Vice-Chancellor’s Senior Academic Promotions Committee put forward recommendations for the promotions, which were considered by the General Board.

The Board recommended the establishment of 43 Professorships, 43 Readerships, and 34 University Senior Lectureships in total.

Professorships were established for the following St John’s academics:

Dr Albertina Albors-Llorens, assigned to the Faculty of Law;
Dr Jason Robinson, assigned to the Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy;
Dr Austen Lamacraft, assigned to the Department of Physics;
Dr Uta Paszkowski, assigned to the Department of Plant Sciences.

The following academics were promoted to Readerships:

Dr Robert Mullins, assigned to the Department of Computer Science and Technology;
Dr Hannah Joyce, assigned to the Department of Engineering.
