MIT Exchange - Mengwen Zhang
'I first heard about the Cambridge-MIT exchange program (CME) from another Cambridge student in my class. Since young, I’ve always heard stories about Cambridge, about its academic excellence, its history, and its people. Darwin and Newton, two of the most famous scientists in history, who used to study here. It is one of the places that I would like to see in person. I realized that participating in this program is great chance for me to learn about another culture, to meet new people and to travel.
Last October I arrived at St John’s College. I was immediately moved by it stunning landscapes and architectures. The bridge of sighs, the punts, and the Cam River that winds through St John’s College, formed an image that I could never forget. Even now when I think about St John’s, it is one of the first images that come to mind.
In the blink of an eye, my stay at Cambridge came to an end. During the year, I enjoyed learning through the supervision system and found it very effective. I also traveled to many places with my friends, including France, Germany and Italy. It was a remarkable experience to study at Cambridge and I will always remember it.'
