Royal Astronomical Society Awards
"Outstanding research in the fields of astronomy and geophysics"
Founded as the Astronomical Society of London in 1820, it became the Royal Astronomical Society upon receiving a Royal charter in 1831, its aim is to encourage and promote the study of astronomy, geophysics and other connected branches of science.
