Salary:                 £21,270.41 - £21,855.43 per annum (£10.37 - £10.65 per hour) + benefits (worth approx. £8,000) + £500 probation bonus

St John’s College, one of the largest Colleges within the University of Cambridge, is seeking to appoint a Kitchen Porter to be part of its busy and dynamic Catering and Conference Department set within stunning grounds in Central Cambridge.  

The post holder will be in charge of carrying out cleaning duties within the pot wash, kitchen and associated areas as part of a highly trained, well motivated and professional team of dedicated staff. They will be required to maintain a hygienically clean and safe environment for staff to prepare food for consumption ensuring the safety of our customers in terms of food hygiene.

The successful candidate will have a positive attitude and good attention to detail. Training in in Basic Food Hygiene, COSHH and Allergy awareness would be advantageous, though full training will be provided by the College.
