St John’s College, one of the largest Colleges within the University of Cambridge, is seeking to appoint a Junior Sous Chef into its dynamic and friendly Catering and Conference Department.

This role provides an amazing opportunity to indulge someone’s passions for food trends. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, have a positive work attitude and have excellent food preparation skills.

The Junior Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the provision of meals within the College and maintain standards of work and cleaning within the Kitchen. They will also be required to support and deputise for the Sous Chef, supervising the shift members, undertaking task training, and overseeing kitchen due diligence.

The successful candidate will be trained to NVQ2, City and Guilds 706/1 and 706/2, or equivalent and ideally have experience within a high class establishment.
