St John’s College, one of the largest Colleges within the University of Cambridge, is seeking to appoint a full time Functions Assistant to assist in the smooth operation of all public and private dining rooms and associated areas in terms of food service, staff supervision and cleaning.   

The successful candidate will have full knowledge of silver service and hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.  Previous experience in a similar role is preferable.

The weekly 39.25 hours will be worked over a 7-day roster on a shift pattern that changes weekly to cover lunches, dinners and other events.  However, a degree of flexibility will be required to meet business needs.
