Paul Hodgson Exhibition

A new exhibition of works by the artist Paul Hodgson is currently on display at St. John's College Library. The exhibition accompanies the publication of 'Cold Eye', a new book of images which respond to ten poems by Dan Burt, focussing on the themes of mortality and moral failure. Hodgson uses a complex mixed media process, combining photographic and painted impressions of a subject to create a new hybrid image. Hodgson then reworks this surface, painting over or scraping back different sections of the composition.

The exhibition will run in the Exhibition Area of St. John's College Library until the 3rd December. A further nine works are on display at the University Library until January 2011.
