Manuscript description

A diagram of the night sky as seen pro septentrione (from the north). The sky is divided into the twelve signs of the Zodiac. The number of stars in each sign is occasionally noted, and some stars are illustrated, such as Spica in the constellation Virgo (right-hand edge). From f.26r of MS E.6, the notebook of Thomas Betson of Syon Abbey (15th century).
