Illuminated initial I incorporating two medallions, from the opening of MS B.4, the Historia scholastica of Petrus Comestor (13th-14th century). The top medallion shows God separating the heavens from the waters, and the bottom medallion depicts God expelling Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden.
