Women & St John's College

This is an online version of an exhibition held in the College's Library Exhibition Area during the summer of 2013.

Drawing upon the rich resources of St John's College Library and Archives, as well as the personal experiences of Members of the College, this exhibition explores women’s involvement with St John's over the past five hundred years. From benefactors, laundresses and bedmakers in the first few centuries of its foundation, Masters’ wives and nurses, through to the admission of women in the 1980s and their role today, see how women have helped shape the College in the years since its foundation.
