Johnians in the Queen's Birthday Honours List 2016

Eight Johnians have been featured in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List for 2016: 

Lieutenant General Sir Andrew Richard Gregory (1976), Chief of Defence Personnel , received a KBE.

Sir Damon Marcus Buffini (1981), Head of Permira, was awarded a Knight Bachelor for voluntary and charitable services.

Professor Sir Roger Vernon Scruton (1965 Harper-Wood Student), Writer, Philosopher and Visiting Professor in Philosophy at the University of Oxford, received a Knight Bachelor for services to Philosophy, Teaching and Public Education.

Professor Peter Timothy Holt Unwin (1973), Secretary General, Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation and former Chair of the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission, received a CMG for services to the Commonwealth.

Mr Richard John Reed (1991), Co-founder, Innocent Drinks, was awarded a CBE for services to the Food Industry and to charity.

Dr Eben Christopher Upton (1996), Chief Executive Officer, Raspberry Pi (Trading) Ltd, received a CBE for services to Business and Education.

Ms Eleanor Joyce Harrison (1998), Chief Executive, GlobalGiving UK, received an OBE for services to International Development.

Mr Barrie Wendt (1961), recieved an MBE for voluntary services to Oxfam.
