Kate Vredenburgh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method at the London School of Economics. From 2024-2028, she will be investigating AI, worker autonomy, and the future of work thanks to a UKRI-Funded Future Leaders Fellowship Grant. She received a PhD in Philosophy from Harvard University in 2019, and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University from 2019-2020, appointed at the Human-Centered AI and the McCoy Family Center for Ethics in Society.

Kate Vredenburgh works on moral and political questions about technology, organizations, science, and the economy. She is currently investigating a range of topics around AI and the future of work. She has also worked on the right to explanation of automated decision-making and algorithmic fairness.
