Dr Geraats completed her undergraduate and Master's degree in Economics at Tilburg University in 1995 and her PhD in Economics at the University of California at Berkeley in 2000, after which she was appointed as a University Lecturer in Economics at the University of Cambridge and a Fellow at St John's College.
Since 2000, Dr Geraats has taught Macroeconomics at the University of Cambridge in the MPhil in Economics and Economics Tripos, including compulsory courses in Monetary Economics, International Macroeconomics and Macroeconomic Policy. In addition, she supervises Part I, Part IIA and Part IIB Macroeconomics at St John's College.
