Personal and family papers

Carrighan 2.3.10(3)library/special_collections/

St John's College Library's Special Collections contain the personal papers of alumni and Fellows of the College relating to their professional and private lives. (Papers created by College officers in their official capacity are kept in the College's institutional archives.) The personal papers date from the sixteenth century to the present day, with the nineteenth and twentieth centuries being most strongly represented. The collections include manuscript papers, photographs, artworks, maps, music and printed material, as well as artefacts, audio-visual and electronic media. To search the personal papers click here

To search across all of the College's archival collections in both the Special Collections and the Archives click here.

In January 2019, the records for the personal papers were added to Archives Hub, a national catalogue bringing together the archival collections from over 300 UK repositories. (Please note that Archives Hub is updated infrequently, so the most recent additions to the collections are listed only on our local catalogue.)
