St John’s College divested from all direct fossil fuel investments in 2013 and has no intention of acquiring such direct investments in the future. 

The College previously indicated that it will review its policy in this area once the University’s report on divestment was available. The report was published on 1 October 2020. The College announced in February 2021 it had adopted a policy of divestment from securities in fossil fuels companies such that, by 2030 at the latest the College has no meaningful direct or indirect exposure to securities in fossil fuels companies in the College’s Endowment.
