Epiphany Carol Services

The next Candlelit Epiphany Carol Services will be held on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 January 2025 at 6.00pm.

This Service of readings and music celebrate the season of Epiphany. this candlelit service, where you will each be given a hand held wax candle, is a beautiful part of the Churches year,

Music last year included  Hodie Christus natus est (Sweelinck), Movements from ‘Christus’ (Mendelssohn), There is no rose (Joubert), Little Lamb (Tavener), In the bleak mid-winter (McGlade), Quem vidistis, pastores (Poulenc), Videntes stellam (Poulenc), The Three Kings (Dove), Vox in Rama (Kirbye), Refugee (Marsh) this work was commissioned by the Master and Fellows for this service, O magnum mysterium (Victoria) and Nunc dimittis (Tallis).

The readings and hymns tell the story of the coming of Christ, the Magi’s visit, and the presentation in the Temple.
