College Nurse
Salary: £41,944 – 47,208 p.a. pro rata (depending on experience) plus benefits

Hours: 22-30 hrs per week. Hours will be worked predominantly weekday daytimes with occasional flexibility required to meet the needs of the role. Specific hours to be agreed with the successful candidate.
St John’s College, one of the largest Colleges within the University of Cambridge, is seeking to appoint a College Nurse to work alongside our Senior College Nurse to provide for the physical and mental health and wellbeing of undergraduate and postgraduate students, and the wider college community.
The successful candidate will be a NMC Registered Nurse with significant post-registration experience or a Community Specialist Practitioner in Public Health Nursing (SCPHN). You will have sufficient experience to manage a range of medical and psychological issues and minor illnesses and injuries. Previous experience of working with young people, ideally including people with neurodiversity and/or other disabilities in an educational setting is beneficial.
The role requires excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to win the confidence and trust of young people. The successful candidate will also need the ability to maintain professional boundaries, well-developed organisational and administrative skills, a strong attention to detail and an openness to change.
This is up to a 0.8 FTE, weekday and daytime role. Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the role, particularly during busy periods; however, a timetable that balances the needs of the role with family commitments could potentially be negotiated.
