Cambridge Open Days are aimed at prospective applicants from Year 12 (or equivalent) and Year 13 and mature applicants (aged 21 or over), together with their parents or supporters, to help them learn more about the University.
If you are considering applying for an undergraduate course, open days are held in July to visit colleges and departments, and September to visit colleges.
The next Colleges Open Day will be Friday 11 September 2026 and is for prospective undergraduates who are thinking of applying in October 2026 for entry in 2027.
During our open days, you can find out about courses, St John’s College and the University departments. You’ll be able to explore the College with a current student as your tour guide and ask our academics and other subject specialists and undergraduates questions about living and studying at the University of Cambridge. You can learn about our facilities, the application process, student life and ways to finance your studies.
Open days typically run from 9.30am-4.30pm and include talks by our Undergraduate Tutor for Admissions on topics such as how to make a competitive application to Cambridge.
To find out more about Cambridge and Colleges Open Days, visit the University website.
Outside of open days, prospective applicants are welcome to visit for a self-guided tour. For further information and to check the College is open to prospective applicants on the day you would like to visit, please email the Admissions team.
St John's College also holds a free programme of Visit Days for teachers and students throughout the year.
