The impressive courts that housed our distinguished alumni – from authors and explorers to prime ministers and Nobel Prize winners – are today home to state-of-the-art conference facilities where your guests can immerse themselves in six centuries of inspiration.
St John’s’ unique blend of purpose-built modern facilities and Grade II*-listed architecture means we can tailor events to fit your organisation’s needs. Whether you’re planning a residential conference, seminar, meeting, launch, drinks reception, buffet lunch or formal dinner, our team of experienced staff are always on hand to help you deliver the perfect occasion.
Our dedicated conference spaces include the stylish 20th-century Fisher Building, which overlooks the famous Backs and houses a 250-seat auditorium as well as several smaller seminar and meeting rooms, and the beautifully refurbished 19th-century Old Divinity School, which boasts state-of-the-art equipment and a 180-seat lecture theatre in addition to a large central hall and several stylishly decorated meeting rooms.
Reception and dining spaces include the magnificent 16th-century Hall (capacity 250-300), the atmospheric wood-panelled Old Music Room (capacity 60), the impressive Wordsworth Room (capacity 20-60) where the Romantic poet spent his undergraduate years, the cosy Parsons Room (capacity 16-28), and the newly refurbished College Bar (capacity 100).
Our overnight accommodation comprises a selection of single and twin-bedded rooms, many with ensuite and all providing towels, toiletries and tea and coffee-making facilities so you can relax at the end of an inspiring day.
