The Organ Festival continues with a specially-devised service recorded for future broadcast on BBC Radio 4. Entitled Tuned for Praise: We are an Easter People, Alleluia is our Song, the service is led by the Rev’d Canon Dr Victoria Johnson, Dean of Chapel, and the Rev’d Graham Dunn, Chaplain, with music directed by Christopher Gray.
As the new organ is celebrated, thanks are given for all sacred instruments which enliven prayer and praise, and there is an opportunity to reflect on how each person is tuned to offer praise to God.
The music includes Eleanor Daley’s Upon your heart, Martin Baker’s O filii et filiae, and Wayne Marshall’s setting of Psalm 150, alongside congregational hymns for Easter.
Tickets are not required for this service. The congregation should be seated by 6.15pm, and late entry will not be permitted.
