Linacre Lecture 2026
I am delighted to announce that this year's Linacre Lecture will be given by Professor Fiona Gilbert, Department of Radiology, University of Cambridge, on Tuesday 10 February 2026.
Professor Professor Gilbert is an academic radiologist who undertakes assessment of new imaging techniques to improve patient outcomes. As a breast radiologist she is evaluating risk-based screening and impact of Artificial Intelligence and novel functional imaging in cancer.
Professor Gilbert's lecture entitled Should we move to personalised screening for breast cancer will begin at 5.30pm in the Main Lecture Theatre in the Old Divinity School and will be followed by a drinks reception in the Central Hall of the Old Divinity School. The Old Divinity School is located immediately opposite the Great Gate, St John’s Street. Access is via 1 All Saints Passage.
The Lecture is open to all members of the University and the closing date for registration is Tuesday 3 February. An email will be sent ahead of the event to confirm whether a place has been reserved for you. Further information and how to register.
