The Queen has been pleased to approve the appointment of His Honour Judge Alastair Hubert Norris, Q.C. (BA 1972, MA 1976) to be a Justice of the High Court.  The Lord Chief Justice will assign Judge Norris to the Chancery Division and the appointment will be effective from 1 October 2007.

John Crook, Fellow since 1951 and Emeritus University Professor of Ancient History, formerly College Lecturer in Classics and President 1971-75, died in Cambridge this morning, aged 85.
