Chapel & Choir

The present Chapel was completed in 1869 to a design by Sir George Gilbert Scott, replacing the original, much smaller, thirteenth-century building.

Members of the public are welcome to attend Choral Services, with Evensong taking place at 6.30 pm Tuesday - Sunday, and Sung Eucharist at 10.30 am on Sundays.

St John's College, Cambridge, has a distinguished tradition of religious music and, since the 1670s, has possessed a College Choir whose main duty is singing the daily services in the College Chapel during the University Term. During the University Vacation the Choir carries out engagements in the UK and overseas, as well as undertaking a busy recording schedule.

The Choir of St John's College, Cambridge maintains its own website at www.sjcchoir.co.uk.
