St John’s Mathematics Summer Camp for Girls Application Form

Year 12 girls interested in experiencing what it is like to study Mathematics at the University of Cambridge are invited to apply to attend our free 12-day residential course.

Applications for the inaugural St John’s College Mathematics Summer Camp for Girls are now open for female students currently studying Maths and Further Maths at A-level or equivalent qualifications such as the International Baccalaureate or Scottish Advanced Highers.

The summer camp will feature lectures from high-profile academics, guidance and support for STEP – a mathematics examination used by Cambridge before admission that is designed to test candidates on questions that are similar in style to undergraduate mathematics – and academically challenging problem-solving exercises.

The academics are also experienced in preparing students for the European Girls' Mathematical Olympiad and the The International Mathematical Olympiad.

Participants will also have the opportunity to interact with current students, stay in St John’s College student accommodation, go punting on the River Cam and enjoy other social activities.

The residential will take place from Monday, August 12 until Friday, August 23 2019. It is free of charge, including accommodation and food costs. Financial support is also available on request to cover travel expenses to and from Cambridge for eligible students.

Places are available for UK, EU and International students.

We are now welcoming applications from talented Year 12 girls who are likely to meet the entry requirements for admission to study Mathematics at degree level at the University of Cambridge.

Applications close at 5pm on Friday, June 28. Successful applicants will be notified by 5pm on Friday, July 12.
