Multi-skilled Building Operative

Salary:                  £26,825.70- £29,471.50 (depending on experience) plus benefits

St John’s College is looking to appoint a Multi-skilled Building Operative to join the College’s Maintenance Department.

The post is responsible for carrying out maintenance and improvements to College properties in a way that contributes to the provision of an efficient maintenance service which has due regard to the nature of the buildings and occupants.

The successful candidate will be competent in the use of relevant building tools, machines, wet trades, bricklaying, and basic building fabric repairs.  The successful candidate should have undertaken an approved training course such as City and Guilds, NVQ or apprenticeship and possessing relevant experience in the construction industry. They will also have an awareness and ability to implement the Health and Safety regulations and be able to successfully work as part of a team.
