Joint Languages Taster Day
We will be holding a Taster Day for prospective undergraduate students who are interested in studying Language or Languages.
At Cambridge, there are a range of language based courses available and as many of these as possible will be represented on the Taster Day.
- Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic
- Asian and Middle Eastern Studies
- Classical Tripos
- Modern & Medieval Languages (including History & Modern Languages)
Students attending this taster day will have the opportunity to attend a choice of short talks and workshops in their subject/s of interest, meet Directors of Studies, The Admissions Tutor and current students. The day will also include lunch, a tour of the College and plenty of opportunities to ask questions about the courses and life at College.
This day is aimed at academically able year 12 or 13 students interested in one or more of the above courses and who have the potential to make a competitive application to Cambridge University.
Booking for this event closes on 7th September. Applicants will be informed if they have a place on 12th September. In the case of more applicants than places, priority will be given to students attending state maintained schools and colleges. We have a (very) limited amount of free accommodation available to those travelling from further away and we may be able to provide some financial support for travel costs. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Please see here for a sample programme.
Please book using the form found here making a clear indication of which subject/s you are interested in exploring on the day.
