Salary:                 Between £23,663.26– £25670.59 (depending on experience) plus benefits, including an annual market supplement of £4,050.90

St John’s College, one of the largest Colleges within the University of Cambridge, is seeking to appoint a Handyperson.

The post holder will contribute to the general maintenance, repair and improvement of College properties, contribute to refurbishment and other major works and provide a safe working environment for College staff, students and Fellows.

The successful applicant will need to be competent in the use of relevant mechanical and electrical methods and ideally have an approved training course (City and Guilds, NVQ or an apprenticeship within a mechanical or electrical trade), as well as suitable relevant experience of safe working on mechanical and /or electrical systems. Experience of working within the construction industry and a full UK driving license with no more than three penalty points will also be necessary.
