Assistant College Nurse

St John’s College wishes to appoint an Assistant College Nurse with the skills, experience and enthusiasm to care effectively for the health of junior members, Fellows and staff of the College.  This is a varied role in which you will be responsible for assisting in the provision of an effective and confidential medical service for members of the College Community by running daily surgeries.

The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse, currently registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council, with significant post-registration experience to enable you to recognize a wide range of medical and psychological issues and minor illnesses and injuries.  You will have previous experience of working with young adults.  The role requires excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and to win the confidence and trust of young people.  You will also need excellent organisational skills and be highly flexible with the ability to respond to an often unpredictable workload.
