The 2020 Lady Margaret Beaufort Intellectual Connections Conference: ‘A Lot On Our Plate'

We are proud to announce the 2020 Lady Margaret Beaufort Intellectual Connections Conference: ‘A Lot On Our Plate: Food Security in the 21st Century’.

Hosted by St John’s College, this free student-organised conference aims to bring together academics, students and the private sector to explore important themes and global challenges.

 A lot on our plate

This year the conference will focus on food security, uniting academics, technology start-ups and NGO representatives to discuss how we can ensure that a growing global population can be sustainably fed. The conference will feature keynote addresses from science and social science speakers, an interdisciplinary policy panel and a technology-based innovation panel as well as the chance to network with academics and start-ups at a free drinks reception!

The event is open to all, and admission is free - no need to book - so guests can come along for the afternoon or attend specific talks. All talks will be held in the Palmerston Room of the Fisher Building, St John’s College.

See the Facebook event page for further information.
