Bach - St John Passion Concert

The College Choir will be performing Bach’s St John Passion in Chapel on Thursday 15 March at 7.45 pm.  St John Passion is one of the greatest works in the Western Classical music canon and this will be an opportunity to hear it performed with boys' voices, as would have been the case in Bach's day.  The performance will feature four former members of the Choir  as soloists.  The Choir will be accompanied by St John's Sinfonia, an ensemble of top players from around country led by the College’s Musician in Residence, Margaret Faultless.  The Sinfonia has recently worked with the Choir on recordings for Chandos, a concert at the Cadogan Hall and the termly Bach Cantata services.
