Benjamin Morgan Cowie, A descriptive catalogue of the manuscripts and scarce books in the library of St John's College, Cambridge (Cambridge, 1842-3). Issued by the Cambridge Antiquarian Society. For Cowie see ODNB. With manuscript annotations, corrections and additions in various hands, including those of William Keeling (librarian 1844-45), J.E.B. Mayor, John Spicer Wood (librarian c.1861-82), Frank Cherry (sub-librarian 1876-88), and Ernest William Lockhart (sub-librarian 1888-1911). A printed 'Catalogue of early printed classics in the library of St John's College, Cambridge' (1887) is tipped in at the front.

An inscription inside the upper board reads 'Presented to St John's College Library by the Rev. B.M. Cowie'.
