Jeremiah Markland, Fellow of Peterhouse (1693-1776): ‘Stricturae in Juvenalem’ (Satires, pp. 1-49); Quaestiones Venusinae (pp. 1-70), based on Richard Bentley’s edition of Horace (Amsterdam, 1713). No date, but c. 1760.

208x167 mm. iv+49+ii+71+xi pp. College bookplate (1792) inside front cover. Markland bequeathed his books and papers to his friend William Heberden (1710-1801), Fellow of St John’s College.

Autograph throughout, with corrections. Paper. Quarter leather, marbled paper on boards. The front cover is detached.
