History - Daisy Leitch

Daisy Leitch graduated from St John’s in 2005 with a 2:1 in History. She comes from London, attending Godolphin and Latymer School for girls for GCSE and for sixth form Westminster School, where she took A-levels in Maths, History and English.

'I studied history at St John’s taking three political thought papers and the Hobbes special subject; I graduated in 2005. Two years on, I’m now studying graduate level International Relations and International Economics at SAIS in Washington DC, affiliated to the John’s Hopkins University. I expect to receive an MA this summer. I have really enjoyed this program, especially as I studied in Italy for the first year of the course. I’m also currently doing an internship at the BBC’s Washington Bureau. In my opinion St John’s was a great place to work and a friendly community in which to live. The history supervisors at the college are approachable and provided a constructive, scholarly environment for the students. I can only recommend it highly to those considering applying to Cambridge.'
