Applications are now being accepted for the Harper-Wood Studentship for English Poetry and Literature.
This one-year Studentship is an opportunity for a student who has graduated from a British university to pursue their own creative writing project. The scheme enables them to engage in relevant, project-related travel and study and is intended to encourage creative writers in the earlier stage of their careers.
During the year the student must spend all or part of the year in a country of their choice outside the United Kingdom where they must engage in a course of study or research, and produce a piece of original fiction, drama or poetry.
Candidates are expected to prepare a detailed outline of their research and travel plans and make a relevant case for their creative writing project. Funding up to a maximum of £14,300 is provided to cover accommodation and living expenses during the course of the year.
The deadline for applications is 5pm on Wednesday 3 May 2017. For full details on how to apply, please see further particulars below.
