A Golden Age? St John's College and the Restoration

Mon, 02/10/2017 - Fri, 01/12/2017

For a largely Royalist and Anglican institution, the civil war and commonwealth had proved a difficult and unhappy time. This exhibition highlights the response of the College to the restoration of the monarchy and the established Church, and traces the varying fortunes of the College, its Fellows, and its Masters during the quarter-century following the Restoration.

The exhibition runs in the Library Exhibition Area from 2 October to 1 December, and is open to the public Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm (excluding public holidays).
