Ellen Mary Fuller's Bequest of £197,000

Mrs Fuller was the widow of "Big Bob", the much-loved former Head Porter of St John's, and was a keeper of the graduate hostel on Madingley Road both before and after Bob's untimely death.  On her death in 2010 it transpired that she had bequeathed £197,000 to the College Choir, principally to establish the Bob and Mary Fuller Fund, which will provide a gift for every chorister on leaving the College Choir.  The remainder of the bequest will support Chorister bursaries, so that no talented musician may be prevented from joining the Choir through financial hardship.
